Route Description for Manzanita Ridge via Mount Wilson Trail
If you are after a long and rugged adventure near Los Angeles that offers a good challenge and wonderfully scenic views across the Angeles National Forest, then the Manzanita Ridge via Mount Wilson Trail is a great option to explore.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will leave the city behind and begin working your way uphill through the undulating terrain of the mountains, passing by the nearby summits of Jones Peak on your left and Lookout Point on your right.
After skirting around the base of Mount Yale and Mount Harvard, you will push uphill to the top of Manzanita Ridge for some incredible views. After a quick rest, simply retrace your steps along the trail to return to your starting point.
