Route Description for Gould Mesa Road Hike
If you are in search of a relaxing day hike near Los Angeles that features some lovely views, a charming waterfall, and is still of a decent enough length to make for a fun afternoon on the trails, then you should certainly check out the Gould Mesa Road Hike.
Setting out from the parking area, you will initially make your way to the east along the road and follow it as it narrows and begins heading downhill. Here, you will pass through the Gould Mesa Camp and follow the trail north as wind runs parallel to the Arroyo Seco.
After following along the water’s edge, you will eventually arrive at the Paul Little Picnic Site, which is a great place to post up and relax outdoors. Those who are interested can continue a little further along the trail to visit the Brown Mountain Dam, which features a nice man made waterfall. After exploring the area, simply follow the same route back to the trailhead where you started.
